a children’s museum of music, art, and sensory exploration
Who We Are
The Children’s Museum of Sound & Color is a future children’s museum designed for music and art education through play and the exploration of how sound, light, and color shape the way we experience the world. Our organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit currently in early stages of fundraising and development.
Join us at local festivals and pop-up events as we raise funds for a permanent home in Cobb County, Georgia.

why Art & Music
-

social-emotional development
Creative play with art and music can help children grow confidence, express emotions, and collaborate better in groups. Our museum will provide a place for kids to connect with themselves, each other, and with caregivers as they explore, create, and play.
-

Cognitive development
Engaging with music and art in early childhood builds young brains by strengthening fine motor skills, problem-solving, and focus. Our programming at the Children’s Museum of Sound & Color will challenge and excite visitors, sharpening their minds while they make fun and lasting memories.
-

academic achievement
When children sculpt with clay or play music, they’re strengthening the parts of their brains that develop language, math, and memory. Visitors can expect age appropriate activities and programming that build a strong foundation for academic success at our museum.
what makes us different
At the Children’s Museum of Sound & Color, we will be focused on art, music, and how they are experienced by different people. We are creating a space that specializes in hands-on art and music education, with exhibits that encourage kids to engage with exhibits in the ways that inspire and excite them most.
We’re just getting started and we need your help to grow!
At this founding stage, the museum is entirely volunteer-led. Every contribution directly supports the planning, partnerships, and exhibit development needed to establish our museum. Your generosity — whether through donations, shared resources, or something unique — helps us take the next step toward a physical home.
